TESTIMONIALS OF GC/CLIENTS
While we delight in using our LEAN demolition process to complete your project we do not operate in isolation or at the expense of other project stakeholders.
In any renovations, there are fringe stakeholders such as neighbours, engineers, and architects and we understand the importance of an “always accessible” project site. The management of dust and noise at construction levels is an ongoing LEAN improvement strategy at Demo For Your Reno.
You’ll find our demolition crews are different in the following ways:
- you will find them conducting their morning meetings, addressing safety and wellness,
- they are cheerful in disposition,
- their work is tidy and efficient in execution,
- our crews are professional and courteous in communication,
- most of all, they LOVE what they do!
Aligned to LEAN cultures our teams are continuously improving DFYR demolition methods, techniques, site maintenance, site logistics, and operational and support systems all the while integrating seamlessly with other trades on your projects.
When speaking with our Field Support teams you will find DFYR has extensive experience demolishing any residential structure above or below grade level For example: Chimney stacks – brick, stone, steel, multi-storey, above slate roofs, flat roofs, free standing; Stairs – spiral, multi-storey, steel, wood, concrete; Decks – wood, steel, above water/ravine, multi-level; Kitchens, Bathrooms, Furnaces – gas, oil, solid-fuel; Hot tubs, Saunas, Heat Exchangers, and the more difficult projects, structurally compromised buildings, that others say no to.

A significant part of a renovation project is the “great purge.” Homeowners often take this opportunity to pare down personal effects. The following is an outline of what to do and some of our partners in diversion from the landfill for salvaging and repurposing material and furnishings.
- Separate all electronics and scrap metal. We’ll add the additional scrap separated during the demolition process and schedule a scrap pick-up
- Donate to the Furniture Bank – A leading registered charity and social enterprise, Furniture Bank changes lives by providing furniture and housewares to people experiencing poverty or displacement.
- Offering 11 locations, Habitat For Humanity ReStore proceeds support the construction of new Habitat for Humanity homes across the GTA. When you shop or donate items to Habitat ReStore, you can feel good knowing that you are directly helping lower-income families own a home in your community. At the same time, you are also making a positive impact on the environment by helping to extend the lifespan of perfectly reusable items that otherwise would have gone to waste, decreasing our collective carbon footprint.
- JRCC Furniture Depot – The JRCC Furniture Depot (FD) is a non-profit program through the JRCC that aims to give free furniture to families and individuals in need. We accept donations of gently used furniture from the surrounding community.
